About Patricia

Patricia Butler, LPC

I offer caring and confidential counseling for all ages. Maturity and the ability to draw from life experiences have taught me to respect the goals and strengths of each client and approach therapy with empathy and a non-judgmental view.

I am committed to supporting your development of self-understanding and permanent change by discovering the underlying issues that are expressed through emotional and physical pain so that you may become you own best "expert".

Education & Professional Background

Masters of Science in Clinical Child & Youth Work: Western Oregon State University

State of Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors & Therapists, Lic.# C1187

EMDR Trainings I and II

Certified EMDR Therapist

Over 150 hours of additional intensive EMDR training focused on: early attachment trauma, sexual abuse, chronic pain, migraine/headache relief, blocks to best performance, and mindfulness as a gateway to self-awareness.

Experience Matters

In addition to private practice with adults, I have 15 years of experience working with at-risk children and their families. In this work, I have gained significant experience with such issues as parent/child relationships, children's behavioral issues, effects of trauma on family systems, attachment disorders and addiction.

And no matter our current age, these issues continue to be played out in our life and relationships – often at an unconscious level that keeps us "stuck" in unsatisfactory patterns.
